Russia resumes foot-and-mouth vaccine supply

Islamabad (Lord Media): In a significant development for the livestock sector, the supply of Russian foot-and-mouth disease vaccine has been resumed. The Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) played a crucial role in this progress, fostering livestock growth and international cooperation. Foot-and-mouth disease has affected millions of livestock in Pakistan, impacting production and exports. Approximately 2,100 cases have been reported over the past three years. Russia’s trade representative, Denis A. Nevzorov, praised SIFC’s effective coordination. Experts believe this move will boost farmers’ confidence and improve livestock production and quality. This advancement is expected to promote Pakistan’s livestock sector and strengthen cooperation between Pakistan and Russia.
