Tehran (Lord Media): Iranian media has released details of a potential 14-point agreement between Iran and the United States aimed at permanently ending the Iran-US conflict. According to the semi-official Mehr News Agency, this draft is the result of backchannel diplomatic efforts.
The draft includes issues such as lifting sanctions on Iran, returning frozen assets, and restoring the Strait of Hormuz. The new details of the memorandum of understanding have been provided by sources close to the Iranian negotiating team and are under consideration by Iran’s top officials.
The first clause of the draft proposes an immediate end to the conflict, while the second clause requires the US to respect Iran’s sovereignty. The agreement suggests ending the naval blockade against Iran within 30 days.
Economic provisions in the draft offer significant relief to Iran, including suspending restrictions on Iranian oil sales and granting access to financial resources.
According to the draft, the US and its allies are to provide Iran with reconstruction projects worth 300 billion U.S. dollars. A 60-day negotiation process is proposed to address the nuclear program and lift sanctions.
