Lahore (Lord Media): An acid attack occurred in Lahore’s Rang Mahal area where the suspect threw acid on victims under the pretense of offering Zamzam water. Police swiftly arrested the suspect.
According to police, the suspect arrived at a shop with two bottles in a bag and told the people present, ‘I will now offer you Zamzam,’ before throwing acid on those seated in the shop and fleeing the scene.
The incident left Muhammad Munir, Waheed, Usman, Tahir, Nazim, and Ashraf injured, who were immediately taken to the hospital. Police reported that all injured individuals are out of danger.
SP City took notice of the incident, and on the directives of DIG Operations Lahore, ordered the immediate arrest of the suspect. SHO Rang Mahal Farah Mushtaq conducted a timely operation and arrested the suspect, Rasheed.
Police investigations revealed that the suspect acted out of resentment over a verbal altercation and misconduct that occurred five days prior. Authorities stated that legal proceedings have begun against the suspect, and further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
