Islamabad (Lord Media): Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar announced that security forces have successfully killed 26 militants in operations near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, destroying four hideouts of the extremist group Fitna Al-Khawarij. He claimed these militants received financial and ideological support from India.
Tarar stated that the operation was in response to recent terrorist attacks in Pakistan, including incidents in Peshawar, North Waziristan, and Bannu.
The Federal Minister further explained that airstrikes were conducted based on credible intelligence, targeting militant camps and shelters. Key commanders of Fitna Al-Khawarij, Aleem Khan Khushali and Akhtar Muhammad Jani Khel, had their bases destroyed in the operation.
He emphasized that maintaining peace and protecting citizens is Pakistan’s top priority. He assured that the campaign against terrorism under the National Action Plan will continue with full force.
