Kabul (Lord Media): Under the rule of the Afghan Taliban, the country continues to face oppression, terrorism, and an economic crisis. A report by a U.S. publication has exposed the Taliban’s repressive regime, highlighting ongoing human rights violations and strict social restrictions in Afghanistan.
The report states that Afghanistan has become a hub for terrorism under Taliban governance, posing a threat to Pakistan, Iran, and Central Asia. It further reveals that the country is suffering from a severe economic crisis, with 28 million people living in extreme poverty and 80% of households burdened by debt.
During the three months of Taliban rule, there have been 336 illegal arrests and 59 incidents of assault and mistreatment. The Taliban’s judicial system has faced severe criticism for failing to deliver justice. Press freedom has been severely suppressed, and women have been completely excluded from public life.
According to the report, over 2.2 million Afghan girls have been deprived of higher education. Experts attribute the rising terrorism and poverty in Afghanistan to the Taliban’s failed policies, which have become a constant threat to regional peace.
