Tehran (Lord Media): Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has warned that continued threats and pressure against Iran could prevent the commencement of negotiations on a proposed final agreement with the United States. Araghchi stated that clause 13 of the memorandum of understanding is clear, and if any party maintains a threatening stance, formal talks for a final agreement will not begin.
He advised the involved parties to honor their signatures and commitments, emphasizing the need for full compliance with the terms included in the agreement.
Araghchi asserted that the Iranian people and armed forces will not be intimidated by any threats or pressure, and Iran will not compromise on safeguarding its national interests, sovereignty, and security.
Referring to the funeral of the late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, Araghchi noted that millions of Iranian citizens gathered in solidarity to pay tribute to their leader and his legacy.
Political analysts suggest Araghchi’s statement comes at a time when diplomatic engagements concerning a future agreement and regional security between Iran and the U.S. are ongoing, although rebuilding trust remains a significant challenge between the two nations.
