Islamabad (Lord Media): The next round of negotiations between the United States and Iran is expected to take place within two weeks, focusing on lifting global sanctions on Iran and its nuclear program, according to Al Arabiya.
On June 22, indirect talks were held in Switzerland, mediated by Pakistan and Qatar, where both nations agreed on a roadmap towards a final agreement within 60 days. The next round is anticipated to occur on July 11 in Islamabad.
Diplomatic sources, as reported by Dawn, suggest that technical negotiations may take place in either Islamabad or the Swiss city of Bürgenstock, with Islamabad being the more likely venue.
Senior journalist Kamran Yousuf notes that Iranian leadership values Islamabad. Due to Pakistan’s mediation role and its relations with Iran and Gulf countries, Islamabad is being prioritized.
There has been no official statement from the US, Iran, or Pakistan regarding this. The talks initially began in Islamabad, with Pakistan playing a mediating role.
