Peshawar (Lord Media): The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has submitted details of federal funds received over the past five years to the provincial assembly. According to the documents, the province received a total of 3,488.675 billion rupees from the NFC Award and for the war on terror from 2021 to 2025.
The figures reveal that 3,114.45 billion rupees were provided under the NFC Award, while 374.224 billion rupees were allocated for the war on terror.
The documents also highlight that the highest funds were received in the fiscal year 2024-25, with 934.579 billion rupees from the NFC Award and 112.2296 billion rupees for the war on terror.
For the fiscal year 2026-27, it is estimated that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will receive approximately 13,089 billion rupees under the National Finance Commission Award, which is a major source of provincial revenue. However, disputes and concerns over the NFC share between the federal and provincial governments have surfaced periodically.
