New York (Lord Media): Facebook, the world’s most popular social media platform, is testing a new feature that allows users to see the view count of their posts. Currently, this feature is available to a limited number of users as part of Meta’s trial phase.
According to reports, the post view counts will be displayed on the main post display, but only the individual who posted the content will be able to see it. The aim is to provide users with a better understanding of their posts’ performance.
Meta states that focusing on view counts will help users determine the type of content people prefer to watch. Previously, users gauged performance based on likes, which Meta believes is not the most effective method.
Facebook’s algorithm displays posts based on user interest, often showing posts from users you do not follow. The new feature is still under testing, and no general availability date has been announced yet.
