School principal among four killed in Israeli strike

Beirut (Lord Media): Four people, including a school principal, were killed in Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon. The Israeli military claims to have gained control of the border village of Hadata, declaring it a security zone.

According to Lebanon’s official National News Agency, the attack on a vehicle in Nabatieh al-Fawqa resulted in the deaths of a school principal, his mother, a foreign domestic worker, and a Syrian citizen.

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun expressed deep concern over Israeli actions, stating that Israeli occupation hinders Lebanese military deployment and goes against Lebanon’s interests.

The Lebanese government asserts that Israeli attacks violate ceasefire agreements and escalate regional tensions. President Aoun announced plans to visit the United States before the end of July to meet with the U.S. President at the White House.

In his statement, Aoun said that the framework is not ideal, but the Lebanese government accepted it based on ground realities. Lebanon will not relinquish its rights and will continue efforts to reclaim occupied territories.

President Aoun added that the phased transfer of security arrangements will start from the Zawtar area in Nabatieh, with Lebanese forces taking over security responsibilities in specific towns.
