The launch of Pakistan’s player kit for the 2026 T20 World Cup has been postponed, officials said. The unveiling was scheduled to take place after the toss of Pakistan’s second T20 match against Australia today but was canceled due to unavoidable reasons.
The decision comes as Pakistan’s participation in the T20 World Cup has not yet been finalized. PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has stated that a final decision on the team’s participation will be made on Monday.
According to sources, the uncertainty over Pakistan’s participation may have contributed to the cancellation of the kit launch. On January 26, Naqvi met with Prime Minister and PCB patron-in-chief Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad to seek guidance on the matter.
The T20 World Cup is scheduled to begin on February 7, with Pakistan set to play all its matches in Colombo, Sri Lanka, according to the current schedule.
