Religious scholar Mufti Abdul Qavi recently appeared on a podcast where he made a surprising claim regarding Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai. He stated that within two to four months, he expects to receive a marriage proposal from the actress.
During the discussion, Mufti Qavi said that after converting her to Islam, Aishwarya Rai would be given a new name, Ayesha Rai. He also addressed questions about marriage and divorce, explaining that a proper Nikah requires mutual consent of both parties in the presence of witnesses, and that a woman must not already be married.
Mufti Qavi elaborated on the types of Nikah, saying a person can have multiple marriages but no more than four at a time. He distinguished between a legal marriage, which requires documentation and signatures of both parties and witnesses, and a Quranic marriage, which can be conducted without formal paperwork to avoid sin in countries where marriage regulations are strict.
This is not the first time Mufti Abdul Qavi has made headlines for celebrity-related marriage claims. Previously, he had publicly offered marriage to Indian actress Rakhi Sawant.
