Zimbabwe stuns Bangladesh in first ODI

Harare (Lord Media): Zimbabwe secured a 25-run victory over Bangladesh in the first ODI, gaining a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. Chasing a target of 142 runs, Bangladesh was bowled out for 116 in the 32nd over.

Zimbabwe’s Brad Evans and Richard Ngarava each took three wickets, while Blessing Muzarabani and Newman Nyamhuri claimed two wickets apiece. For Bangladesh, Nurul Hasan scored 31 runs and Towhid Hridoy contributed 25 runs.

Batting first, Zimbabwe posted 141 runs in 36.4 overs. Newman Nyamhuri scored 33 runs, and captain Richard Ngarava added 27 runs. Bangladesh’s Naheed Rana took six wickets, with Taskin Ahmed and Mehidy Hasan Miraz taking two and one wicket respectively.
