The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has released official voter turnout figures for the recent by-elections held across the country. According to the data, the overall turnout stood at 28.58% for elections conducted on six National Assembly seats and seven Provincial Assembly seats.
The highest turnout among the National Assembly constituencies was recorded in NA-18 Haripur, where 50.82% of registered voters cast their ballots. In NA-185, turnout was reported at 32.61%, followed by 26.46% in NA-96 Faisalabad and 21.43% in NA-143 Sahiwal.
In major urban centres, participation remained relatively low. NA-129 Lahore saw a turnout of 18.67%, while NA-104 Faisalabad registered the lowest among the NA seats at 13.23%, the ECP said.
For the Provincial Assembly constituencies, PP-269 Muzaffargarh matched Haripur with a turnout of 50.82%, marking the highest participation among PA seats. Turnout in PP-98 Faisalabad was 36.82%, PP-73 Sargodha recorded 34.45%, and PP-87 Mianwali saw 27%.
The voter turnout in PP-116 Faisalabad was 22.94%, while PP-203 Sahiwal recorded 22.4%, according to the official figures.
