Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Goher said that despite extensive efforts, negotiations did not yield any results. He stated that the authority for negotiations now rests with PTI Chairman Imran Khan, who has appointed Mahmood Achakzai and Allama Nasser for the talks. Goher added that he would provide guidance if consulted regarding the negotiations.
Speaking to reporters, Goher affirmed the party’s alliance with Mahmood Khan Achakzai and Allama Raja Nasser, emphasizing that their struggle would continue through the “Tahafuz-e-Pakistan” movement.
He said that attempts were made to bring Maulana Zairak on board, describing him as a shrewd politician. However, he expressed doubts that Maulana Zairak would join the party now, though efforts to include him would continue.
Barrister Goher also criticized the 26th and 27th constitutional amendments, advocating for an independent judiciary. He highlighted delays in the judicial process, citing Imran Khan’s final sentence on January 16, which, under judicial policy, should have been decided within 35 days. Goher noted that over ten months have passed without a resolution to the case.
