Quetta (Lord Media): In Ziarat, armed assailants attacked a police checkpoint, resulting in the martyrdom of nine officers, while 15 militants were killed during a clearance operation. According to SP Ziarat Abdul Quddus, the attackers targeted the police post in Mangi, and the bodies of the martyred officers were moved to DHQ Hospital. Additionally, five officers were abducted, and efforts are underway for their recovery.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi condemned the attack, paying tribute to the martyrs and expressing heartfelt condolences to their families. He stated that the sacrifices of the martyrs are unforgettable and such attacks cannot sabotage peace.
Shahid Rind, an aide to the Chief Minister of Balochistan, reported that the clearance operation against terrorists in Ziarat has been completed. In a joint operation by FC, police, CTD, SOW, and ATF, 15 terrorists were eliminated. He asserted that no safe haven will be provided to terrorists in Balochistan and actions against them will continue.
