Islamabad (Lord Media): The central president of the Awami National Party, Senator Aimal Wali Khan, met with Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman. The meeting focused on the country’s overall political situation, particularly the deteriorating law and order in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
According to JUI’s media cell, both leaders expressed deep concern over the worsening security conditions in these provinces.
It was agreed that in light of the current security situation, it is crucial for relevant institutions to provide in-camera briefings to parliamentary leaders to facilitate informed decision-making.
The meeting also concluded that serious, effective, and coordinated measures are essential for protecting citizens, eradicating terrorism, and establishing lasting peace in the region.
The leaders emphasized that all political forces must adopt a joint strategy on national security and peace.
Former federal minister Maulana Asad Mahmood was also present, and it was agreed to strengthen mutual political contacts and continue consultations on matters of national importance.
Both leaders stressed the need for joint efforts to promote peace, stability, and democratic processes in the country.
