Xinhua News Agency, founded in 1931 and headquartered in Beijing, is China’s state news agency and largest multimedia news organization and one of the leading media institutions around the world， with 31 domestic bureaus and 182 overseas bureaus across 143 countries and regions. Xinhua has more than 10,000 employees, including over 2,000 staff working outside the Chinese mainland.
Xinhua delivers real-time news in 15 languages, namely Chinese, English, French, Russian, Spanish, Arabic, Portuguese, Japanese, Italian, Thai, Indonesian, Urdu, German, Turkish, and Korean, to nearly 10,000 contracted clients around the world.
Xinhua publishes an average of 8,000 news items daily and operate on various media platforms, including news portals, APPs, IPTVs, outdoor screen networks, and over 20 types of newspapers and magazines. Our official accounts on social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, have over 275 million folloXinhuars.
Xinhua has established a state-of-the-art broadcast system based on artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and cloud computing. One of Xinhua’s innovative offerings is the world’s first AI news anchor, which debuted in 2018. Xinhua also deliver machine-generated content, drone-borne news, satellite imagery news, VR news, 3D animation news, etc.

Photojournalists and contract freelancers in nearly 200 countries and regions
As China’s largest news photo provider, Xinhua cover global events with about 1,000 Xinhua news photos daily, presented by our worldwide network of award-winning photojournalists, freelance photographers, and editors in nearly 200 countries and regions.
Videos: On-site coverage of news and features
Xinhua provide video coverage of news in the world. Xinhua offer a video service of varied topics, lengths, formats, and definitions that are tailored for viewing on both PCs and mobile devices.
Xinhua distributes an average of 40 English-language videos per day through our English Video Service, including ready-to-air videos and video feeds with scripts. Xinhua also offer live coverage and feature stories.
The Xinhua Short-form Video Service releases about 200 videos per day. Most of them are under 300 seconds in length and accompanied by short, concise scripts for use on news portals and social media platforms.
Multimedia: Multiple-form coverage for different media platforms
