Lahore Qalandars have renewed their franchise agreement with the Pakistan Super League (PSL) for an additional 10 years, officials announced on Monday.
The renewal followed an updated enterprise valuation of the team. Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said the decision reflects Lahore Qalandars’ confidence in the PSL and praised the franchise owners for turning the team into a globally recognized brand.
PSL CEO Salman Naseer noted that the league will expand to eight teams starting from the 11th edition next year. He added that Lahore Qalandars’ passion and energy have become synonymous with the PSL’s identity.
Naseer also highlighted the franchise’s talent nursery, which has introduced new players into Pakistan cricket, helping strengthen the national pool. Under captain Shaheen Shah Afridi, Lahore Qalandars have won three titles in four years, underscoring the franchise’s success on and off the field.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a strong partnership with Lahore Qalandars as the league continues to grow both nationally and internationally.
