ISLAMABAD (Lord Media): President Asif Ali Zardari has approved three important government summaries on the recommendation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, including the conferment of the prestigious Hilal-e-Pakistan award on Miguel Angel Moratinos, the United Nations Secretary-General\u2019s High Representative for the Alliance of Civilizations and Special Envoy on Combating Islamophobia.<\/p>\n
The approval is part of Pakistan\u2019s recognition of international efforts aimed at promoting interfaith harmony, tolerance, and countering Islamophobia at the global level.<\/p>\n
In another decision, President Zardari accepted the resignation of Fazal Haq Abbasi, who was serving as a member of the Law and Justice Commission of Pakistan. The resignation was approved following the completion of necessary official procedures.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Zafar Hassan has been appointed as a member of the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC). The appointment is expected to strengthen the commission\u2019s role in overseeing recruitment and selection processes for federal services.<\/p>\n
