NEW DELHI (Lord Media): Hackers have leaked sensitive data of India’s largest nuclear power plant, Kudankulam, on the internet, posing serious security threats. The ransomware group, World Leaks, published the data on the dark web.<\/p>\n
Reports indicate that the leaked data includes maps of certain plant sections, supplier details, and records of meetings and inspections. The hackers claim that this information was obtained from the Reliance Group.<\/p>\n
The Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant, located in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, is a crucial component of India’s nuclear energy program. The plant is contracted under Indian businessman Anil Ambani’s Reliance Group.<\/p>\n
Reliance Group has stated that there was partial infiltration of their data on the server of data center service provider Yotta, and the government has been informed. However, they have not disclosed details of the affected data.<\/p>\n
Nicholas Roth of the Nuclear Threat Initiative remarked that this data could pose a severe threat to the plant’s security. World Leaks has previously targeted several major companies.<\/p>\n
