Finance Advisor Khurram Shehzad stated that Pakistan has repaid approximately 17 billion U.S. dollars in debt earlier than expected, with 2,900 billion rupees already repaid in fiscal year 26.<\/p>\n<p>Khurram Shehzad further explained that early debt repayments in fiscal year 26 were 62% higher compared to fiscal year 25. Of the early repaid debt, 51% was owed to the State Bank and 49% to other financial institutions.<\/p>\n<p>According to Shehzad, Pakistan&#8217;s debt-to-GDP ratio has decreased from over 75% to approximately 68.5%. Improved management strategies have boosted investor confidence, leading to greater financial stability in the country.
