ISLAMABAD (Lord Media): Patients with irregular heartbeats no longer need to travel abroad for advanced treatment, as Islamabad’s PIMS Hospital has introduced a U.S. technology-based procedure. Brigadier Retired Dr. Azmat Hayat, head of the Electrophysiology Unit at PIMS, and cardiologist Dr. Akhtar Bandesha stated that the PFA procedure will provide patients with quality, safe, and free treatment. They mentioned that the procedure can restore a patient’s heartbeat within an hour.<\/p>\n
Dr. Azmat Hayat successfully performed the PFA procedure at PIMS. He noted that this treatment method can also prevent strokes and heart attacks in patients. Approximately 5 million people in Pakistan suffer from irregular heartbeats.<\/p>\n
