The federal government has issued a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to the Indian men’s volleyball team, allowing it to travel to Pakistan to participate in the Central Asian Volleyball Champi-onship under its sports diplomacy ini-tiative.<\/p>\n
Confirming the development, Pakistan Volleyball Federation (PVF) Chairman Chaudhry Muhammad Yaqoob said the government had granted the NOC and India had been formally informed of the decision.<\/p>\n
He expressed hope that the Indian team would arrive in Pakistan as scheduled to take part in the tournament.<\/p>\n
The PVF chairman said the CAVA Men’s Volleyball Championship would be held in Islamabad from July 22 to 29, adding that all arrangements for the event had been finalised.<\/p>\n
He said the championship would be one of the biggest international volley-ball events hosted by Pakistan and would provide a valuable opportunity to promote the sport in the country while enabling the national team to compete against top regional sides.<\/p>\n
According to Chaudhry Muhammad Yaqoob, teams from 10 countries Paki-stan, India, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, the Maldives and Sri Lanka will participate in the champi-onship.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
