Lahore (Lord Media): All private schools in Lahore are now required to obtain building fitness certificates. Without this certificate, registration or renewal of any private school will not be possible.<\/p>\n
According to sources, approximately 3,500 private schools in Lahore will need to acquire building fitness certificates. A special inspection of private schools operating in rented and residential buildings has also been decided.<\/p>\n
The proposal suggests a complete structural safety audit of private school buildings, recommending the hiring of third-party engineering consultants for safety inspections to ensure transparency and adherence to technical standards.<\/p>\n
Under the plan, school buildings will be inspected through destructive and non-destructive testing to accurately assess the strength and safety standards of the buildings.<\/p>\n
The School Education Department has also been advised to develop a comprehensive system for issuing building fitness certificates across Punjab.<\/p>\n
