Islamabad (Lord Media): Reports of harassment against men are increasing in Pakistan, with the Federal Ombudsman for Protection against Harassment receiving 521 complaints from men in one year, constituting 40% of total complaints.<\/p>\n
According to documents obtained, the highest number of complaints from men was filed at the Federal Ombudsman’s head office in Islamabad, followed by Punjab.<\/p>\n
In total, 1,290 harassment complaints were lodged by both men and women over the year, with the Federal Ombudsman resolving 1,104 of these cases.<\/p>\n
In Peshawar, 42 men filed harassment complaints, while Karachi saw 24 and Balochistan recorded two complaints. Additionally, 769 women approached the Federal Ombudsman regarding harassment.
