The Iranian delegation lodged a protest against former US President Donald Trump&#8217;s threatening statements. Discussions in the initial phase focused on the situation in Lebanon and the implementation of the memorandum of understanding.<\/p>\n<p>Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baghaei stated that Tehran&#8217;s participation aims to ensure the implementation of the &#8216;Islamabad Memorandum.&#8217; He emphasized that final agreement talks cannot commence until the key points of this document are guaranteed.<\/p>\n<p>The US delegation is led by Vice President JD Vance, who mentioned that President Trump has authorized him to pursue a diplomatic path for resolving Middle Eastern issues. He expressed hope that the ongoing talks might open a new chapter in the relations between the two countries.<\/p>\n<p>Pakistan&#8217;s role in the negotiations is significant, with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressing optimism for positive and fruitful outcomes. Qatar&#8217;s Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman praised the efforts, highlighting their importance for peace in the Middle East and global economic stability.<\/p>\n<p>US President Donald Trump issued threats to Iran, stating that if Iran does not agree to the deal, he would destroy the country.
