Islamabad (Lord Media): Federal Minister for Information Atta Tarar, alongside Minister of State for Finance Bilal Azhar Kayani, stated in a press conference that the budget has been praised even by critics who are usually inclined to criticize.<\/p>\n
Tarar mentioned that an attempt is being made to create a negative environment, but even Miftah Ismail has praised the budget. He claimed that Pakistan was on the brink of default and foreign exchange reserves were at their lowest.<\/p>\n
He further stated that the budget benefits salaried individuals, industry, and exporters. Public sector salaries have been increased by 7 percent, while the minimum wages in the private sector have seen a 10 percent rise. Tax concessions on IT have been maintained.<\/p>\n
He noted that the interest rate was at 22 percent and remittances had decreased. The leadership of PML-N stabilized the economy, and Shehbaz Sharif advanced it under Nawaz Sharif’s vision.<\/p>\n
