The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly rejected a CBS News report claiming the presence of Iranian aircraft at Nur Khan Airbase, terming it misleading, speculative and sensationalized.<\/p>\n
In an official statement issued by the Office of the Spokesperson, the Foreign Office said such narratives appear aimed at undermining ongoing diplomatic efforts for regional stability and peace.<\/p>\n
The statement clarified that following the ceasefire and during the initial phase of the Islamabad Talks, aircraft from both Iran and the United States had arrived in Pakistan to facilitate the movement of diplomatic personnel, security teams and administrative staff involved in the negotiation process.<\/p>\n
It added that some aircraft and supporting personnel remained temporarily in the country in anticipation of subsequent rounds of engagement, while formal negotiations have not yet resumed.<\/p>\n
The Foreign Office further stated that senior-level diplomatic exchanges have continued, including visits by Iran\u2019s Foreign Minister to Islamabad, which were facilitated under existing logistical and administrative arrangements.<\/p>\n
Rejecting any military interpretation, the statement said the Iranian aircraft currently stationed in Pakistan arrived during the ceasefire period and are not linked to any military contingency or operational arrangement.<\/p>\n
\u201cAssertions suggesting otherwise are speculative, misleading and completely detached from factual context,\u201d the statement read.<\/p>\n
The Foreign Office emphasized that Pakistan has consistently acted as an impartial and responsible facilitator of dialogue and de-escalation in the region. It said Islamabad has provided routine logistical and administrative support where required, while maintaining transparency and communication with all relevant stakeholders.<\/p>\n
