Iran and T\u00fcrkiye have exchanged views on escalating tensions in West Asia during a high-level telephone conversation between their foreign ministers.<\/p>\n
According to the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Seyed Abbas Araghchi spoke with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Friday, focusing on regional security developments and diplomatic efforts to de-escalate conflict.<\/p>\n
Araghchi briefed his counterpart on Iran\u2019s ongoing diplomatic initiatives aimed at ending what he described as a war imposed by the United States and Israel.<\/p>\n
He criticised recent U.S. movements in the Persian Gulf, calling them \u201cadventurist,\u201d and accused senior American officials of using \u201cinsulting rhetoric.\u201d He said such actions had deepened Iran\u2019s mistrust and undermined diplomatic progress.<\/p>\n
The Iranian minister stated that Washington\u2019s approach weakens negotiations and urged the United States to halt what he termed \u201cillegal aggressions\u201d and adopt a more balanced stance to advance peace efforts.<\/p>\n
For his part, Hakan Fidan emphasized the importance of continuing diplomatic engagement to resolve regional conflicts, reiterating T\u00fcrkiye\u2019s support for dialogue and peace initiatives.<\/p>\n
In a separate call, Araghchi also discussed regional developments with British Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper, though details of that conversation were not disclosed.<\/p>\n
