Chinese President Xi Jinping on Friday extended congratulations to Nizar Amedi on assuming office as the new President of Iraq, expressing Beijing\u2019s commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations.<\/p>\n
In his message, Xi said China and Iraq share a long-standing traditional friendship and have steadily deepened political trust in recent years. He noted that both countries continue to support each other on issues involving their core interests and major concerns.<\/p>\n
