{"id":73761,"date":"2026-04-17T17:29:39","date_gmt":"2026-04-17T12:29:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chinaurdu.com\/eng\/?p=73761"},"modified":"2026-04-17T17:29:39","modified_gmt":"2026-04-17T12:29:39","slug":"pakistan-saudi-fund-extend-3bn-deposit-agreement-in-washington","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chinaurdu.com\/eng\/?p=73761","title":{"rendered":"Pakistan, Saudi Fund extend $3bn deposit agreement in Washington"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, witnessed the signing of an important financial agreement in Washington, D.C., in the presence of the Ambassador of Pakistan to the United States, on the sidelines of the World Bank\u2013IMF Spring Meetings 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The agreement, signed between the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) and the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), provides for the extension in the maturity of a USD 3 billion deposit placed by SFD with the State Bank of Pakistan.<\/p>\n<p>The agreement was signed by Sultan bin Abdulrahman Al-Marshad, Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Fund for Development, on behalf of SFD, and Mr. Jameel Ahmad, Governor of the State Bank of Pakistan, on behalf of SBP.<\/p>\n<p>The extension of the deposit reflects the strong and longstanding economic partnership between Pakistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and will further support Pakistan\u2019s external sector stability.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, witnessed the signing of an important financial agreement in Washington, D.C., in the presence of the Ambassador of Pakistan to the United States, on the sidelines of the World Bank\u2013IMF Spring Meetings 2026.
