We are deeply grateful to Pakistan for its efforts and have never refused to go to Islamabad,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat we care about are the terms of a conclusive and lasting end to the illegal war that is imposed on us,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>According to international media reports on Friday, Iran had informed mediators that it was unwilling to meet U.S. officials in Islamabad in the coming days, considering Washington\u2019s demands unacceptable.<\/p>\n<p>Separately, Iran\u2019s semi-official Fars news agency, citing an informed source, reported that Tehran had rejected a U.S. proposal for a 48-hour ceasefire transmitted through a \u201cfriendly\u201d country.<\/p>\n<p>The report also referred to earlier developments in the ongoing conflict, noting that Israel and the United States carried out joint attacks on Tehran and other Iranian cities on February 28, prompting Iran to respond with missile and drone strikes targeting Israeli territory and U.S. assets in the Middle East.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Iran\u2019s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi said on Saturday that Tehran is seeking to secure the terms of a \u201cconclusive and lasting\u201d end to what he described as a war imposed by the United States and Israel.
