China has expressed openness to continued American corporate participation in its market, as officials from both countries discussed trade and economic relations in Beijing.<\/p>\n
Commerce Minister Wang Wentao made the remarks during a meeting on Monday with a delegation of the U.S.-China Business Council led by board chair Rajesh Subramaniam and president Sean Stein.<\/p>\n
Wang said that despite ongoing differences and frictions, both sides should respect each other\u2019s core interests and address disputes through dialogue conducted on an equal footing.<\/p>\n
He emphasised that maintaining stable, healthy and sustainable China\u2013U.S. economic relations serves the interests of both countries and the wider global economy.<\/p>\n
Wang also noted that China\u2019s economic trajectory continues to provide stability and predictability in a turbulent global environment, adding that the country will pursue high-quality development and further expand opening-up policies.<\/p>\n
He highlighted the upcoming 15th Five-Year Plan (2026\u20132030), describing it as a framework that will not only guide domestic development but also create new opportunities for international partners.<\/p>\n
