The interruption led to a 14-minute suspension of play, creating uncertainty over the outcome of the match.<\/p>\n<p>Morocco subsequently filed an appeal with CAF, challenging the validity of the result and citing violations of tournament regulations.<\/p>\n<p>In its verdict, the CAF appeal board stated that under Article 84 of the competition rules, leaving the field of play is considered equivalent to forfeiting the match.
