The regulatory authority is scheduled to hear the petition on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>In its application, the CPPA stated that a total of 8.487 billion units of electricity were generated in December, while 8.208 billion units were supplied to distribution companies (DISCOs). The agency reported that the per-unit cost of electricity generated during the month stood at Rs 9.62.<\/p>\n<p>The CPPA further informed NEPRA that hydropower accounted for 18.07 percent of total electricity generation in December. Power generation from local coal stood at 13.99 percent, while imported coal contributed 10.13 percent.<\/p>\n<p>According to the breakdown, electricity generation from natural gas was recorded at 11.20 percent, while imported gas accounted for 17.24 percent.
