Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening strategic coordination and collaboration.<\/p>\n<p>Pakistan and China enjoy a long-standing strategic partnership rooted in mutual trust, shared interests and close cooperation. Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established in 1951, making Pakistan one of the first nations to recognize the People\u2019s Republic of China. Over the decades, the relationship has evolved into an \u201call-weather strategic cooperative partnership.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>China has consistently supported Pakistan on core national issues, while Pakistan has stood by China on matters of sovereignty and territorial integrity.<\/p>\n<p>Economic cooperation remains a cornerstone of bilateral ties, particularly through the China\u2013Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), a flagship project of China\u2019s Belt and Road Initiative. CPEC has contributed to infrastructure development, energy generation and regional connectivity in Pakistan.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond economics, the two countries maintain close collaboration in defense, diplomacy, education and people-to-people exchanges.
