Speaking to the media in Lahore, he emphasized that the PCB\u2019s stance will align with the government\u2019s position.<\/p>\n<p>Naqvi stated that the board is awaiting Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif\u2019s return before finalizing the decision. He underlined that the PCB operates under the government, not the ICC, and no single country can dictate terms to Pakistan. Referring to recent ICC meetings, he said there should be no double standards, highlighting that Pakistan and India\u2019s situation is similar to Bangladesh\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p>The chairman added that if Pakistan and India are allowed to use a hybrid model for participation, Bangladesh should be given the same opportunity. He stressed that Bangladesh must be allowed to play in the World Cup under all circumstances.<\/p>\n<p>Mohsin Naqvi also noted that Pakistani players had been subject to fraud and assured that the board will address the matter if contacted.
