The league management believes the auction model will enhance competitiveness and transparency across franchises.<\/p>\n<p>Under the revised framework, mentors, brand ambassadors and the \u201cright to match\u201d rule have been abolished. Before the auction, each franchise will be allowed to retain up to four players, with a maximum of one player from each category.<\/p>\n<p>The two newly added teams will be given the opportunity to pick four players each prior to the auction process.<\/p>\n<p>In another key change, franchises will be allowed to directly sign one international player.
