Advocate Azhar Siddique has challenged the kite law and related permission notifications in the court. According to the police report, potential risks for Basant 2026 have been identified based on a decade of data.<\/p>\n<p>Only cotton strings and registered kites will be allowed, while glass-coated, chemical, or metal strings will be strictly prohibited. Each kite and string must have a QR code registration. Motorcyclists are required to wear helmets and use safety wires, and entry into red zones without antennas will be banned.<\/p>\n<p>During the festival, 5,000 free rickshaws will be provided for citizens.
