The agency said the average cost of electricity generation in December stood at Rs9.62 per unit.<\/p>\n<p>The petition also detailed the sources of electricity generation during the month. Hydel power accounted for 18.07 percent of total generation. Electricity produced from local coal stood at 13.99 percent, while imported coal contributed 10.13 percent.<\/p>\n<p>According to CPPA, 11.20 percent of electricity was generated from natural gas, while imported gas accounted for 17.24 percent.
