Minister Khichi noted that following the \u201cMarka-e-Haq,\u201d Pakistan has gained respect and recognition globally, and that several countries are keen to further develop ties with Pakistan.<\/p>\n<p>Secretary Gillani highlighted that the number of Pakistanis traveling to Jordan remains relatively low and stressed the need to facilitate visa procedures. Ambassador-designate Khurram Sarfraz Khan acknowledged multiple reasons for limited Pakistani presence but emphasized that Jordan is home to shrines of several Prophets and Companions (RA), attracting interest from Pakistani visitors.<\/p>\n<p>Both sides emphasized cultural cooperation as a key means of promoting bilateral relations. The ambassador-designate noted that Pakistan\u2013Jordan relations date back to Pakistan\u2019s independence and can be further strengthened through cultural collaboration.<\/p>\n<p>Minister Khichi proposed hosting a Jordan Cultural Week in Pakistan to promote mutual understanding and people-to-people contacts. The ambassador-designate appreciated Pakistan\u2019s craftsmanship, highlighting the world-renowned intricate woodwork of Chiniot.<\/p>\n<p>Secretary Gillani briefed him on Pakistan\u2019s regional handicrafts, cultural heritage, and local artisans, suggesting that these could be sent to Jordan for exhibitions.<\/p>\n<p>The secretary stressed that while government-level relations are strong, there is a need to strengthen public-level ties.
