The project will be executed by the Punjab Irrigation Department.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the plan, a 20-kilometer main pipeline will connect Charah Dam to a water treatment plant near Rawal Lake. Following feasibility assessments, the total estimated cost of the project is expected to exceed Rs55 billion.<\/p>\n<p>Once completed, the dam will provide 28 million gallons of water per day, with Islamabad and Rawalpindi each receiving 14 million gallons.
