He said the defence had requested the court to ensure the PTI founder\u2019s appearance and to expedite proceedings in the May 9 cases.<\/p>\n<p>He expressed concern over what he described as repeated denial of access to his client. \u201cIt is unfortunate that we are not being allowed to meet our client. There is no precedent anywhere in the world where a lawyer is prevented from meeting his client,\u201d he said, adding that a relevant order of the Islamabad High Court\u2019s Lahore bench regarding meetings already exists.<\/p>\n<p>Faisal Malik alleged that jail authorities were repeatedly committing contempt of court by not allowing meetings with the PTI founder.
