The Islamabad High Court assigned diary number 24560 to Imran Khan\u2019s appeal and 24561 to Bushra Bibi\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p>In the filed appeals, the couple argued that the trial court relied on statements from a dismissed witness, Inamullah Shah, and on a compounding witness whose testimony should not have been considered. The petitions claimed that the prosecution failed to prove the case against them.<\/p>\n<p>The appeals further argued that the same offense cannot result in multiple punishments and that the Special Central Court did not have jurisdiction to hear the case. They also claimed that Sohaib Abbasi was improperly declared a key witness and that the Toshakhana-II gifts retained by the former ruling couple were in accordance with Toshakhana rules.<\/p>\n<p>The petitions accused authorities of political victimization and noted that the complainant does not qualify as a public servant.
