Under the revised policy, government-held wheat will be released immediately to flour mills, chakkis and traders across the province.<\/p>\n<p>The cabinet fixed the wheat release price at Rs8,000 per 100-kilogram bag, reducing it from the previous rate of Rs9,500. The spokesperson said the move was intended to stabilise the market and prevent price volatility.<\/p>\n<p>He added that timely release of wheat would help maintain its quality and create space in storage facilities. The cabinet reiterated that efforts were ongoing to ensure reasonable flour prices for the public.<\/p>\n<p>The provincial cabinet also formed a sub-committee to closely monitor wheat prices.
