The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Monday issued a bailable arrest warrant against the Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority for failing to release pension payments to a retired officer despite court orders.<\/p>\n
The case was heard before a constitutional bench of the SHC, which took up a petition challenging the non-compliance with judicial directions. The retired officer\u2019s counsel, Advocate Asadullah Baloch, informed the court that the Additional Director of Medical Services, Dr. Kareem Channa, had already been ordered by the court to ensure the pension was released.<\/p>\n
However, the DG of the Civil Aviation Authority has not implemented the court\u2019s orders since 2022. The bench responded by issuing a bailable arrest warrant against the official, with a surety of Rs100,000.
