Ahsan Afzal and Abdul Jabbar later withdrew their nominations, leaving Abid Sher Ali as the sole candidate. No candidates from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) contested the seat.<\/p>\n<p>Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif congratulated Abid Sher Ali on his unopposed victory and extended best wishes for his future role. The PM said, \u201cBy the grace of Allah and PML-N\u2019s public service record, the party continues to succeed on all fronts.
