A significant development expected during the session is the approval of the Bill on the Rights of Arrested, Detained, and Under-Trial Prisoners, which seeks to enhance procedural safeguards and ensure better treatment of individuals in custody. The Senate is also scheduled to approve amendments to the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) Sections 323, 330, and 331, aiming to update existing criminal provisions.<\/p>\n
Additionally, lawmakers will take up the Criminal Procedure Code (CRPC) Amendment Bill, which proposes the insertion of a new clause, 297-A, into Schedule Two of the Code.
