Officials indicated that daily collections could reduce the deficit by about Rs5 billion. For December, the FBR has set a tax collection target of Rs1,406 billion.<\/p>\n
Sources further noted that during the first five months of the current fiscal year, FBR collected Rs4,715 billion against a target of Rs5,083 billion, leaving a cumulative shortfall of Rs413 billion.<\/p>\n
